Research Assistant Professor, Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at ASU

Research Principal, Center on Reinventing Public Education at ASU

I am a research assistant professor at Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College and a research principal at the Center on Reinventing Public Education at Arizona State University. I use econometric and quantitative methods to research education policy, with a particular focus on teacher quality, teacher labor markets, and the principal's role in school improvement.

Much of my work involves partnerships with state and local education agencies, including current partnerships with the Rhode Island Department of Education, the Mississippi Department of Education, District of Columbia Public Schools, and Oakland Unified School District.

My work has been published in the American Economic Journal: Education Policy, and I've also published a research brief with the Tennessee Education Research Alliance. Visit my research page to see more of my work.

I received my Ph.D. in Education from Harvard University in May 2024. Before coming to Harvard, I managed a research project at Brown University in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Education. I hold both an A.M. in Urban Education Policy and an A.B. in Economics and American Studies from Brown University. At Harvard, I received the Partnering in Education Research Fellowship from the Center for Education Policy Research and the Linda G. Hammett Ory Fellowship from the EdRedesign Lab.
